I really like adventure and trying new things. Sometimes that involves getting friends to jump out of a plane with me, or buying a last minute flight to visit a friend in Europe. Other times, it might be picking up a new hobby such as cup stacking. At my prime, I can do the whole cup cycle stack in less than 10 seconds. (If you don’t know what I am talking about, YouTube it.)
My journey of recovery and how hard I worked to get and stay sober.
Honestly, my vacuum. I really like vacuums. Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huC4RzcBqxM — this kid is my hero.
Yoga, traveling, and doing my aforementioned hobbies, and hanging out with my friends. I actually enjoy organizing things as well (i.e. my love of vacuums).
I’ve never felt closer to the heart of God than when I’ve had the privilege to sit in a counseling room with someone in pain and seeking help. I believe being a therapist is a sacred calling and a gift. I value the client’s courage to show up and want something to be different. I treasure getting to hear a person’s story and encounter the blessing of being able to walk alongside of them as they walk the dirt road of recovery.
Someone with whom they can connect and be honest with, as well as someone they feel challenges and cares for them.
I believe everyone needs to believe in something greater than his or her self. While I choose to believe in the God of the Bible, I am comfortable with others believing something different than me. I encourage all of my clients to believe in a higher power of their own understanding. I truly trust God to do whatever He needs to do in the life of each client. I enjoy being able to bring my faith into the room with clients who are open to that, and I often find myself referencing the Bible. My faith allows me to recognize that I am human and allows me to trust God with the healing work in the hearts of my clients.
I like Electronic Dance Music (EDM), do I need a favorite? I also like some Christian music, mostly Bethel worship stuff.
June. A lot of important people are born in June, namely me.
Save The Last Dance…don’t make fun of me, I think it’s an MTV original.

Probably back to 1963, to be a part of the civil rights march and to see Dr. King speak.
